Hi all,
I just wanted to let you all know that I was suckered into spending thousands of dollars on a college degree in IT before I realized it was a huge rip off and dropped out. The IT courses were 20% nerdy IT stuff and 80% absolutely useless information. They only “trained” you for your IT industry certificates to boot(you don’t get them for completing your degree).
Come to find out that there are individuals on the internet that are way better instructors than your crummy college professors, and you don’t need to involve yourself in all the bureaucracy etc…
So…. You study hard and eventually get a few certifications(A+, Network+/CCNA, etc..) but then you realize you’ve been duped again and you actually have zero real world skills.
Enter jobskillshare.org … Thank God. I would have been embarrassed and not very confident if I had sent out my resume before I had completed this course. Let’s be honest, the certifications give you zero real world experience and in the end that’s all that really matters. Instead, take this course and pad your resume full of stuff that you know IT employers will be looking for and that you will be able to perform with confidence.

To the point blog thank you for sharing this with us. I don’t think college IT is totally useless but when I see people spending thousands of dollars for entry level positions that just bleed my heart 🙂
Welcome to jobskillshare community.
