Objectives
After completing this lab, you will be able to:
- Configure a custom domain.
- Explore the Office 365 administrator interfaces.
Note:Â The lab steps for this course change frequently due to updates to Office 365. Microsoft Learning updates the lab steps frequently, so they are not available in this manual.
Lab setup
Login to your practice lab account provided by jobskillshare
Virtual machines: PLABDC01 and PLABWIN10
User Name:Â Administrator
Password:Â Passw0rd
This course uses the Office 365 Admin center for all labs.
In all tasks:
- Login to the office 365 portal using the account that you have created from the previous guide
This lab requires the following virtual machines (use only the VMs required for your lab):
- PLABDC01
- Sign in as Administrator by using the password Passw0rd
- PLABWIN10
Sign in as Administrator by using the password Passw0rd
Exploring the Office 365 administrator interfaces
- On PLABWIN10, start Microsoft Edge and browse portal.office.com.
- Sign in with credentials provided by Danish.
then select Admin
- On the left navigation menu, scroll down to explore all available items. Expand items such as Users, Groups, Settings, etc.
- On the left navigation menu, expand Users, and then select Active users.
- Review the user’s list.
- On the left navigation menu, expand Health, and then select Message center, and then in the right pane, review the messages.
- On the left navigation menu, expand Admin centers, and then select Exchange
- On the left navigation menu, under Admin centers, select Teams
- A new tab will open displaying Microsoft Teams admin center
- Select the Microsoft 365 admin center tab
- On the left navigation menu, select Admin centers, and then select SharePoint
- A new tab will open displaying SharePoint admin center
- Select the Microsoft 365 admin center tab
- A new tab will open displaying Security & Compliance admin center.
