IT Pro skills Development Process (DEMO)
The program skills development process spans 6 months. The completion of each task is important to ensure that the next stage of the development process can begin on time. The following timeline show the approximate breakdown of the 6-month schedule.
First day on the discord server
We think it’s important to create a space for you to share a little more about who you are and all the cool things you are working on!
Some questions you may answer to get your thoughts flowing:
- What is your industry and profession?
- What are your current goals?
- What do you expect from this program?
We would like to make sure that our members understand our program policies.
Please check your email with the title “Jobskillshare First Video to get started“
Perform the task given by the program manager to start learning.
Follow the Mentor in discord server
The mentor/ mentee relationship is a symbiotic relationship. “It is important to remember that this is a two-way relationship.
Keep in mind that this is a professional relationship with other IT Pros, not a friendship, and it needs to be treated as such.
TestOut PC Pro Course
If have followed the first task successfully you should have TestOut access.
We our advisory videos to focus on important skills from the TestOut courseware.
-Do not skip or rush the content (It will not help in the long run)
– – Don’t get stuck in deep learning. If you don’t understand a specific term or idea, try to research a little but don’t spend too much time on it. You will come across many words and skills again from different courses or projects.
-Follow the advisory video in the discord server
-Perform labs multiple times (In IT, you will perform a task repetitively, this is to train your mind and accept this behavior of receptiveness)
-When you are going through content or labs, are you asking yourself questions? You should ask yourself interview questions based on the content you learn or practice.
